You Attract What You Are

Finding Purpose in the Middle of It All

“Nothing separates me from You.”

Hi my beautiful friends,

Have you ever found yourself out of place, unfulfilled, going through the motions, wondering if there’s more to life?

For a long time, I lived just to survive. I worked to support my family, kept busy to distract myself, and did what I thought I had to do. But deep down, I was craving more.
More meaning.
More connection.
More purpose.
I wanted to build something with impact and passion but I didn’t know how.

I’ve noticed how many people walk around miserable, grumpy, or just emotionally drained and honestly, I was one of them. I used to wonder why life always felt heavy or disappointing. But looking back, I now realize something powerful:
You really do attract what you are.

I think about how often I complained about life, about my job, about people, about the things I didn’t have. Even when things were “good” on the outside, I still felt empty on the inside.

Then I started my walk with Christ.

I was in a dark, confusing place. I confided in a close friend, and I’ll never forget the simple question she asked me:
“What is it that you’re looking for?”

And I didn’t even know how to answer.

I felt like a lost puppy, just trying to find my way. But here’s the beautiful part. The more I started to seek God daily, the more clarity I received. His presence slowly began to open my eyes. I started to recognize what really mattered and what didn’t. My discernment grew. And now when I look back on that broken version of myself, I just want to hug her and whisper
“It’s going to come. And when it does, it’ll feel sudden but it’s because you stayed close to God.”

Your Life Still Has Purpose Even in the Mundane

Whether it’s your job, your daily routine, your relationships, maybe nothing feels important, spiritual, or purposeful right now. Maybe it just feels like survival.

But let me remind you of something:
God can use you in any season and in any position.

You may feel invisible or overlooked but God sees everything. He’s using you even when you feel stuck. You are important to Him and He is doing something within you even when you don’t feel it.

I had a reminder of this recently.

A woman came into my workplace and began talking to me. At first it was small talk, she mentioned craving dessert, but then it turned into her venting about what she was going through. And even though I was busy, I gave her my full attention. I paused everything.

As she was leaving, she said
“Thank you. I came in today in such a horrible mood and you really made my day.”

That moment hit me. Sometimes, what people need most isn’t advice or answers, they just need someone to listen. To be present. To offer kindness.

You Are Where You’re Meant to Be

So wherever you are, whether in the waiting, in the middle of struggle, or just trying to keep it all together, please remember:

God placed you where you are for a reason.

You are not lost. You are being led.

Your presence may be the peace someone else needs today. Your words might be the encouragement they’ve been praying for. Your kindness may be the light in their darkest hour.

You don’t need a title, a platform, or the perfect plan.
Just keep showing up.
Keep seeking Him.
Keep allowing God to work through you.

I also recently shared more about the importance of asking for help when you need it. If that’s where you are, I encourage you to check it out. You are not alone, and there is no shame in needing support.

You attract what you are, so become someone who carries light, love, and faith. The rest will follow.

with love,

your friend, Chelsey
