What Would Jesus Do?

Hi My Beautiful Friends,

Happy Monday!!!
I hope you had a fantastic weekend. I'm starting the week strong by sharing something real. Something I’ve been battling with lately: overthinking.

You ever find yourself stuck in your thoughts, wanting so badly to make the right choice, but instead getting overwhelmed and frozen by all the possibilities? Yeah... me too.

Overthinking & Walking in the Spirit
Philippians 4:6–7 (NIV)

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Overthinking is something I constantly wrestle with.

Romans 8:5 (NIV)

reminds me:

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”

I’ve spent most of my life making impulsive decisions based on feelings, not faith. Honestly, those choices even the messy ones led me to where I am today, and for that, I’m grateful.

But now, as I grow in the Word, I find myself battling those old habits. I overthink more because I want to do what’s right, what Jesus would do. I struggle with perfection. I want things to be just right. And when they’re not, I freeze. I delay. I let the overwhelm steal my peace.

But here’s what I’m learning:
Perfection isn’t the goal. Obedience is.
God isn’t asking me to get everything right. He’s asking me to trust Him.

Overthinking is one of the enemy’s tactics. If he can keep us anxious, overanalyzing, and unsure, he can delay the purpose God has placed on our lives.

But not anymore.
Now, if someone crosses my mind, I text them.
If I see someone in need, I pray or step in.
I’m learning to move when the Spirit prompts, not when I feel ready.

The enemy may plant doubt, fear, and confusion. But God plants purpose, peace, and hope.

So if you’re in a situation and you feel stuck, ask:
What would Jesus do?
Then pray. Open your Bible. Ask, and you shall receive.
God is not the author of confusion but of peace.

Let’s choose peace over perfection today. 💛

With so much love,

Your Friend, Chelsey
