God See’s Your Doubt
Hi my beautiful friends,
Today’s message hits deep because it’s something we deal with every single day. Temptation
In Genesis 3:1 6
we read about how the serpent (Satan) tricked Eve into doing exactly what God told her not to do. He made her question God’s goodness, and once he got in her head, it was over. She took the fruit, gave some to her husband, and just like that, they disobeyed.
We all know Satan is still doing the same thing today
He knows our weaknesses
He knows how to plant little lies in our heads
He knows how to make us question what God already said
Temptation is real, and Satan uses it to try to pull us away from the life God wants for us. He even tried it with Jesus, but the difference is, Jesus didn’t give in
This is how the enemy works against us. I like to call it THE 5 D’s:
Doubt
Discouragement
Diversion
Defeat
Delay
Let’s talk about doubt because whew... this one is personal
Satan got Eve to doubt God by making her think He was holding something back from her. She forgot everything good God already gave her and focused on the one thing He told her not to touch.
And we do the same thing
We start comparing our lives, our gifts, our calling and yes, even our bodies to what other people are doing or how they look. And just like that, we forget how blessed we already are. We forget who we are in Him
I’ve been there. Honestly, I still catch myself slipping into that mindset sometimes. That voice that says, “You’re not good enough. You’re behind. You’re not as confident.”
Being on my fitness journey, I constantly look at myself thinking, “I should’ve been further along by now” And the truth is some of that is on me. I haven’t always made the healthiest choices, and I do have to hold myself accountable for that.
But where it really gets tough is when I see other people who’ve lost so much weight and look absolutely incredible. It’s not jealousy I’m genuinely happy for them. It’s more of an inward battle where I start doubting my ability to stay consistent… to keep going… to actually reach the goals I’ve set for myself
That’s something I have to fight through
I’m not perfect. I fall short. But this message right here it’s reminding me not to doubt what God can do in and through me
Because He created me for greatness
And guess what He created you for greatness too
Doubt grows when we keep it to ourselves. The enemy wants you to sit in silence and question everything
But God, God wants you to bring it all to Him questions, worries, insecurities, tears … Everything!
Having doubts doesn’t make you a bad person. It makes you human. It’s what you do with those doubts that matters
Do you run to God or do you let those thoughts sit and take over?
Even one of Jesus’ disciples Thomas doubted, and guess what Jesus didn’t shame him. He met him right in the middle of that doubt and gave him what he needed. And He’ll do that for you too
So if doubt is creeping in, here’s what we need to do:
✨ Thank God for what you do have
✨ Speak His truth out loud
✨ And remind yourself God is moving in your life even if you can’t see it yet
You don’t have to envy what someone else is doing
Be proud of them. Cheer them on. Because their win doesn’t take anything away from yours. God’s got room for all of us
And remember this
Being tempted isn’t the sin
You haven’t done anything wrong until you give in
Here’s how we fight back:
📖 Pray and ask God for strength
🏃🏽♀️ Run (yes sometimes literally)
🚫 Say no when something feels off
📌 Hold tight to God’s Word even if it’s just one verse you repeat over and over again
This is what happens when you resist temptation:
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” – James 1:12 (NIV)
This verse is a powerful reminder that God sees your struggle and He rewards your faithfulness. When you choose to say “no” to temptation and “yes” to God even when it’s hard you’re not just avoiding sin. You’re growing stronger. You’re building spiritual endurance
The “crown of life” represents the eternal reward not just in heaven but also the peace, joy, and purpose we experience when we walk closely with God here on earth. It’s God’s way of saying:
“I see you. I know it’s not easy. But keep going what I have for you is worth it.”
I can look back at all the times I’ve fallen into temptation and I’m just so thankful that God is still loving, still forgiving, still calling me back to Him
I’m so excited for tomorrow’s blog and I hope this one spoke to your heart like it did mine
Stay strong. Stay close to Jesus. Have a safe and blessed day
With love
your friend, Chelsey
