Faithfulness
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
Psalm 89:15
Hi My Beautiful Friends,
One word kept echoing in my heart: faithfulness. I found myself singing it over and over again. Today, while doing my Bible study, I asked God, “What do your people need to hear today?” He led me straight to Psalm 89.
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
Psalm 89:1
Yesterday, I met a sweet elder lady, and we had an incredible conversation about how God has moved in our lives. I told her,
“I wish I had known about God and the depth of His love when I was growing up. But even so, He’s always on time. And now, my husband and I get the honor of being examples, showing our children just how valuable it is to have God in our lives.”
Looking back at my life, I can see the moments I acted impulsively. When I responded out of pain, pressure, and pride. There were times I behaved in ways that were completely out of character, hurting people simply because I had been hurt. And honestly? It makes me cringe. I now see how far those actions were from God’s heart.
If I could go back and redo it all, I would. But I can’t. So instead, I repent, I learn, I grow, and I move forward. Because staying stuck in those memories is like living in a prison of my own mind.
And while it wasn’t easy to break free, dying to my old self and choosing to be led by Jesus is all I care about now. Not just for me, but for my husband, my children, and anyone who’s searching for light in a dark world.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
love and faithfulness go before you.
Psalm 89:14
This verse summarizes God’s character: righteousness, justice, love, and faithfulness. As His ambassadors, we are called to reflect those same qualities in how we treat others. Our actions should flow from that foundation because anything that is unfair, unloving, or dishonest is not from God.
If you’ve acted out of character or hurt someone, take heart. Take accountability. Jesus doesn’t shame us. He invites us to repent, to change, and to walk in truth. You’re not called to be perfect. None of us are. But when you start following His example, God sees your heart. He knows your true intentions toward Him and toward others.
Let your life reflect His faithfulness for your family, your future, and for those who are watching you live out the Gospel. Remember God will move mountains in your life.
Have a wonderfully blessed Tuesday
With Love,
Your Friend, Chelsey
