Staying Fruitful
My Beautiful Friend,
I hope you’re loving this SOAP Method as much as I do! The book of Psalms is so special to me. I love how powerful it is. In this series, we’re diving into Psalms to learn how to see ourselves and value ourselves through God’s eyes.
S – Scripture
"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction."
- Psalm 1:1–6 (NIV)
O – Observation
I’ve learned the difference between leaning on the world’s advice and leaning on God’s truth. Like a tree planted by streams of water, those who delight in His Word stay rooted, nourished, and fruitful even when life gets hard. 1:6 reminds us that God is always watching over our steps. Surrounding ourselves with people who also know His Word strengthens our roots and helps us grow in faith and self-love.
A – Application
For a long time, I went to people for advice and I’m so grateful for their intentions but I didn’t go to God first. Loving yourself God’s way means:
Seeking Him before anything else.
Rooting yourself in His Word daily.
Surrounding yourself with people who encourage you in faith.
Speaking truth over yourself: “God is watching over my path. I am loved, chosen, and rooted in Him.”
When we do these things, we protect our hearts, grow in confidence, and learn to truly value ourselves through His eyes.
P – Prayer
Lord, thank You for watching over me. Help me to seek You first, plant my roots deep in Your Word, and surround myself with people who also know You. Protect my heart from anything that pulls me away from You, and help me grow strong, steady, and fruitful in every season. Amen.
I hope you have an amazing weekend, I’ll see you on Monday <3
With Love
Your Friend, Chelsey
