Be There For Others

“Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.” – Proverbs 12:25 (NIV)

Hi my beautiful friends,

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!

When I read this verse during my Bible study today, it really stuck with me.

Something I’ve learned in seasons of anxiety, overthinking, or feeling overwhelmed is this: one of the most healing things I can do is be kind to someone else. It shifts my focus from my own worries to the purpose God has placed inside me. It helps me stop spiraling inward and start looking outward. Who can I serve? Who needs encouragement?

And the amazing thing is, when you spread kindness, your own heart begins to heal. You’re reminded that you’re not here by accident. That God can use you, even in the middle of your mess, to bring joy, peace, and hope to others.

I’ll be honest though. Starting this faith blog has felt way out of my comfort zone. There have been so many moments where I’ve questioned myself.
"Am I even Christian enough to be doing this?"

But recently, I got a message from a friend who shared how much this blog has helped her find direction in her spiritual walk. That one message, that kind word, completely quieted my doubts. It reminded me why I do this. Not because I have all the answers, but because we’re all learning and growing, and God can use even the smallest step of obedience.

I’ve learned that I don’t have to be perfect to be used by God. I just have to be willing.

I’m also incredibly thankful to have godly family and friends I can turn to for advice, encouragement, and prayer. Being surrounded by faith-filled people reminds me that I’m not alone, and neither are you.

So, who can you encourage today?

Ask God to place someone on your heart. Speak life. Share love. Send a text. Offer a kind word.
You never know how much it will bless them and you, too.

Don’t be afraid to step out in faith.
You don’t have to be perfect. Just trust Him and His works. He’s got you.

with love,

your friend, Chelsey
